On the morning of 23/5/2020, Loc Troi Group (LTG) organized the General Meeting of Shareholders to approve important plans for the coming time. Notably, LTG’s operating system continued to have a new element, the Company conducted a new election for 2 members of the Board of Directors.
In particular, Mr. Philipp Rosler – Former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany – stood for the position of independent Board member. Mr. Philipp Rosler was born in 1973 in Soc Trang and lives in Germany. In 2009, he was appointed Minister of Health of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the period of 2011-2014, he became Deputy Prime Minister of Germany.
Currently, Mr. Rosler is holding the position of BOD member of many businesses around the world and is now invited by Chairman Huynh Van Thon to be an Independent Member of the BOD of LTG. “I want to contribute to benefit LTG and Vietnam in the important field of agriculture. Vietnam has a very good opportunity when it has signed free trade agreements,” Mr. Rosler said.
Earlier in 2019, LTG also invited Chairman Nutifood Tran Thanh Hai and Mr. Mark Peacook to become independent members of the Board of Directors. With much attention, LTG also nominated Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Chairman of Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) to take on the position of observer of the BOD for the term 2019-2024.
It is known that 2020 will be the period when LTG will restructure and apply technology into operation (for example, signing an ERP system), aiming at a billion-dollar service enterprise by 2024. Also At the meeting, the Company approved the appointment of a new General Director, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thuan, to replace Mr. Huynh Van Thet.
In 2020, Loc Troi targets VND 7,352 billion in revenue, down 15.6% over the same period but the net profit target still increases 7.5% from VND 335 billion to VND 360 billion. In Q1, the company saw a loss of 37 billion dong.
